Thanks to Andrew for introducing me to The Seedy Seeds — hailing from my mom’s homeland of Cincinnati, Ohio. Cincinnati is where it all goes down, I’m tellin’ ya! Everybody say Jungle Jim’s! Skyline Chili!

Both Andy and I have declared our unabashed love for all things cutesy. And if you’re looking for cutesy, The Seedy Seeds are cuter than Teddy Ruxpin’s kid brother with a pocket full of dandelions.

Their music is dancey and twee — lots of electronic beats and boy/girl vocals. Plus they revel in auxilary instruments like funky keyboards, accordions and banjos. Loves me some quirky instrumentation.

Take a listen to their MySpace Page. My favorites are The Push and Eponym.

I met them at that Iota show to benefit SOME in December. They were really nice and I ended up helping them sell their 3 song cds. Buttons were 3 for a dollar too.

Dan at Why I Oughtta adds: The Seedy Seeds are cuter than Teddy Ruxpin’s kid brother with a pocket full of dandelions. [...]
